As well as explaining the phenomenon, Danielle gives a view on the potential impacts on the media industry of deepfakes and how technology might be used to detect them.
Danielle Van Lier is Assistant General Counsel at SAG-AFTRA where she manages SAG-AFTRA’s third-party contracts and intellectual property, as well as other efforts aimed at protecting the rights of SAG-AFTRA and its members. She also recently received her LLM in Innovation, Technology and the Law from University of Edinburgh where she wrote her dissertation on deepfakes.
